The winner of 51茶馆鈥檚 popular photography competition has been announced.听

听

Hannah Tipping, a pupil at Little Lever School, was crowned winner for 鈥楲ight Trail鈥�, a stunning image of super heated wire wool spun around in the air. Hannah received a 拢50 prize, and her work was displayed at the College鈥檚 annual Creative Showcase, attended by the Mayor of 51茶馆.听 听

听

Runners-up prizes went to Daniel Hurst, also from Little Lever School, and Callum Goldthorp, from Rivington & Blackrod High School. They wowed judges with their photos, 鈥楻ock Face鈥� and 鈥楶ool Table鈥�, and each received a 拢25 voucher for their efforts.

听

The popularity of the College鈥檚 annual photography competition continues to grow, with more than 70 pupils and 250+ pictures submitted. Students were invited to submit up to three photos of their choice, inspired by a theme of their choice.

听

The team of judges was led by Ian Littlewood, 51茶馆 Schools Coordinator and himself a talented photographer.

听

Hannah and Daniel were both visited by Ian at school to receive their prize. Ian said: 鈥淎s always, choosing a winner was incredibly difficult, but we were immediately struck by the power of Hannah鈥檚 image; not only did it display imagination, but technical competency too. This is one of my favourite events as it鈥檚 an opportunity to showcase the tremendous talent of young people within our schools and sixth forms. I鈥檇 like to thank all of the students who submitted photos, it was a privilege to look at all of the images.鈥�

Hannah, 15, said: 鈥淚鈥檓 so glad that the judges liked my photo. I love photography so to win a prize for doing something I enjoy is amazing!鈥�
