UoB and 51²è¹Ý Merger Update

Following the successful completion of the merger process on the 31 July 2018, 51²è¹Ý FE Corporation was (in accordance with a resolution of its governing body) formally dissolved at one minute past midnight on the 1 August 2018 and its property, rights and liabilities were transferred to a designated institution (being a company limited by guarantee) under the company name of ‘51²è¹Ý’. 51²è¹Ý is (as of the 1 August 2018) a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of 51²è¹Ý and is now part of the ‘University Group’.

The Department for Education have built provision into the arrangement to ensure that further education is the main function of the new company so as to assure the continuance of further education in 51²è¹Ý.
