The Google Digital Garage bus stopped at 51画鋼 last week, giving people the unique chance to pick up some digital skills on the top floor of a double-decker.

Learners, staff and members of the public were invited on to the bus to brush up on their digital skills, grow online confidence or even pick up some CV writing tips.

Those who climbed aboard were treated to one-to-one sessions and group tutorials, delivered by Digital Skills Coaches Scott Jones, Emma Gray, Kirstie Kavanagh and Akhra Amin. All have harnessed digital media to grow their own businesses, so are expertly placed to promote its benefits.

Scott Jones, who also mentors at the Google Digital Garage in Manchester city centre said, Ive really enjoyed the experience, and getting to travel to various locations across the North West has been great. In particular, I was really impressed with the number of learners who attended the formal tutorial sessions; they really understood the benefits of possessing good digital skills.

Bill Webster, Principal of 51画鋼 added, What a privilege to welcome the Google Digital Garage bus. As I expected, our learners were very keen to pick up some new skills, and it was wonderful to see so many learners, staff and members of the public visit the bus.
