51茶馆鈥檚 former business student, Morgan Parry,听truly shone听at this year鈥檚 51茶馆 & Bury Business Awards.听听

听

Morgan was nominated in the category of 鈥榊oung Person of the Year鈥� for听an ingenious听business idea听鈥撎�a consultancy to听improve the match听day experience of disabled football fans.听

听

Morgan drew upon his own experience as听a听51茶馆 Wanderers fan and听wheelchair听user听and听created a questionnaire to hand out to disabled fans at the game,听detailing听the whole match day experience, from the decision of where to buy a ticket, travel and the facilities available.听听

听

He听shared听his findings听with 51茶馆 Wanderers,听Level Playing Field,听the听Premier League听and the English Football League, who听singled听Morgan听out听and听filmed听him听at a home game against Bristol Rovers. You can watch the video听.

Daniel Scott, Disabled Supporters Liaison Officer at 51茶馆 Wanderers says听鈥淢organ has done some great work with us at 51茶馆 Wanderers over the听past 12 months to improve access to stadia, for fellow disabled supporters. His audit questionnaire has helped us improve our match day experience for disabled supporters, both regular BWFC supporters and those visiting us to support the opposition team鈥�.听
